We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Important Disclaimer — Construction Information
- Cost estimates are approximations based on national benchmarks and should not substitute for formal bids from licensed contractors.
- All construction projects may require permits, professional engineer (PE) review, and compliance with local building codes.
- You are solely responsible for verifying that any work complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Vendor match scores reflect algorithmic criteria compatibility only — they do not constitute endorsements, recommendations, or vetting of any contractor.
4. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Vendor Profiles and Marketplace
Vendors who create profiles on BuildStackHub represent and warrant that:
- All information provided (licenses, insurance, certifications) is accurate and current
- They will update their profiles promptly when information changes
- They are legally authorized to operate in the jurisdictions where they offer services
BuildStackHub does not verify vendor credentials. General contractors and project owners are solely responsible for verifying all vendor credentials before awarding contracts.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
- Harass, spam, or harm other users
- Use automated tools to access the Service without permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BuildStackHub and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary content without written permission.
User-submitted content remains yours, but you grant BuildStackHub a non-exclusive license to use it to operate and improve the Service.
8. Payments and Fees
Certain features, including premium vendor match reports, require payment. By making a purchase:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method
- All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Premium reports are delivered digitally and are non-refundable once generated
- We use secure third-party payment processors and do not store full payment card details
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILDSTACKHUB AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuildStackHub and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
